ONE ACT PLAYS that kids can act
These plays are royalty free if you are a youth group or a non-profit looking to put on a production. If you want to make money from them - then so do I, and we can negotiate a fair price.
These scripts are specifically written for kids to act in and all the full length plays have been written with help from kids. Because there is a lot of repetition and all the lines are short, these plays are very easy to memorise. Every single one of these plays or skits has been produced by kids between the ages of 7-14. Some have played in more than one country. If you see something you like, e-mail me with a short explanation of your group and your project and I'll send you a copy of the full script as well as the name of the script you want.
If you don't see what you need let me know and I can write something for your group for a small fee.

Intervention - Space Therapy
SYNOPSIS: Everyone needs a little therapy, and what better occupation for a vaguely-reformed, intergalactic criminal like Dr. Sigmund Void? But when the space pirate, Red Rickey, and her kidnapped crew, a pair of rap obsessed scientists, an evil robot, some genetically enhanced super spies, and a Pokémon Go addict all converge for therapy at the same time, utter chaos ensues.
Notes: This is a classic sci-fi play with many crazy characters, lots of rapping, a folk song, and pop culture references. It is a serial to Siren's Song - Curse of the Amulet - but as with any good follow up, no one will have needed to see that play to understand this one.
Parts: This play has a cast of twelve.
Suggested audience: A great family play.
Run time: 45 minutes.

Parts: This play was originally put on stage with a cast of ten but can use up to twenty-two actors, or even more if puppets are employed for the backstory or if the backstory is acted out.
Suggested audience: A great family play.

Stuck With the Gods
SYNOPSIS: Loki has trapped Dale in Asgardian TV, the TV of Norse mythology. He plans on making Dale his play thing for eternity. To add a bit of fun, Loki makes a deal, if Dale can find Loki’s brother and get his help, Loki will set Dale free. But who is Loki’s brother? It’s not who you might expect.
Notes: This is a great way to introduce Norse mythology to students and encourage them to find out more about the characters who inhabit it. Also, due to the randomness of the script, more or different commercials and shows can be added or replace the commercials and shows if your group wants to create some stuff of their own. If you do this, just keep the shows with the marked main characters to make for a coherent script.
Parts: This play was originally put on stage with a cast of thirteen but can easily use eighty or more actors of various ages.
Suggested audience: A great family play.
Run time: 30 to 45 minutes.

Bingo Beach
SYNOPSIS: When a rich business woman tries to recapture her
former Bingo Queen glory by buying the best surfing beach around from the local
motorcycle gang, in order to build a giant bingo hall, she finds herself at
odds with the local surfers, her rock and roll nephew, and his band. (Based on
the surf movies of the 1960’s)
Notes: This play has one song which can be put with either instrumental surf music or original music. It can also contain as many dance routines as you wish to put into it as these movies usually had the characters dancing at the drop of a hat. There are some surfboards to build, but minimal set, so when we produced it, we had all the kids make surfboards and used them as set decoration and props. There is also some spoken word poetry in the script - a great way to introduce poetry!
Parts: This play has thirteen parts
Audience: A great family play
