I'm really looking forward to meeting teens from the other side of the country. I'm sure they're just as weird and creative as the teens from Alberta. I can't wait to share the stories they make up with the kids in my Reality Is Optional kids' writing club.
Speaking of the RIO kids, seven of them will have their stories posted as part of the Calgary Reads - Reading Town. Look for the stories on Twitter. They even managed to get them all in on time - and they are amazing stories.
So much creativity!
As for my own creativity, I just finished going over the copy edit of Creep Con. It takes a team effort to create a book and I'm lucky to be part of a great team. There have been no fewer than four editors working on this book and myself. Plus there's the cover crew who had to do two covers since the first one didn't work out. Then there's printing and publicity and all kinds of other departments. The writer is just one of them. We like to think we're special, but we're really not.
If you want to see this new book and maybe pre-order it, check it out under Books (I know, terrible hiding place, right)?
Well, I'll given how frequently I actually blog, my next one will probably be from Labrador - until then - enjoy life!
